A System for Automatic Processing of MODIS L1B Data

Abstract. MODIS is an important sensor of EOS program. In this paper we introduce the main characteristics of MODIS L1B data and its application status. Then we design the MODIS L1B Data Automatic Processing System, explaining its concept, main function and realization of the system. Meanwhile, the products of the system include: L1B radiance products, L1B reflectance products, day NDVI mosaic image, colored composite mosaic image, brightness temperature mosaic image, ten-day period NDVI mosaic image, etc. Finally, we sum up the system,
give spatial accuracy assessment, optimization strategy and point out future work.
